  1. What is the capital of the United States? Of Japan?

  2. What is the capital of your country? What is the largest city in your country?

  3. What is the capital of England?

  4. Is Toronto the capital of Canada? What city is? Where is Rome?

  5. Which cities do you think are the largest in the world?

  6. Do you like to study geography?

  7. Which countries would you especially like to visit?

We often use a phrase with than after a comparative.


This restaurant is nicer than the Pizza House.

I had a bigger meal than you did.

The steak is more expensive than chips

As ... as
We use as ... as to say that things are equal or unequal.

Our house is as big as yours. They're the same size. It's warmer today. It isn't as cold as yesterday.

In a negative sentence we can also use so ... as, but this is less common than as ... as.

This flat isn’t as big as/so big as our old one.
