Do you know that?
Every language has special expressions and idioms. English is particularly rich in idiomatic expressions. If we try to translate them from one language into another, they lose their meaning entirely. For example: "to look up" doesn't mean to look high into the sky. It means to find some information in a dictionary, or be careful.

What a language!
This story is about a Frenchman who lives for some time in England.
Once he hears, someone shout: “Look out”. He is at a hotel when he hears these words. He puts his head out of the window and a bucket full of water falls on him.
"It seems "look out” in English means "don't look out” he says.
