Empirical Observations on Gender Disparities in Indian States & Districts
In commensurate with our initial premonition, let us now present a clear picture of state-wise as well as district-wise coefficient of variation (CV) of the common gender variables. Unless any researcher is well acquainted in advance with the nature of relationship among the gender indicators at successive layers of regions in contemporary Indian society, role of extra-economic factors will be unduly diminished which could play crucial role in predicting the strength of economic as well as demographic determinants for future policy purposes.
