Library: Foundation: in 1875. The collection originates from the scores and notes presented by F. Liszt, which he started to bring home in 1873. Later it had widened with his inheritance. At present: cca 300000 scores and notes 60.000 books, periodicals (200 sorts of) 30.000 CD-s Collection of rarities: critical editions complete works/editions /significant ones and some of them unique copies in the country/ Open 55 hours / week, from it loaning for 44 hours.

Library: Founded in 1735. The total stock contains about 550,000 books and 2,663 journals. The Central Library has about 100,000 users every year.

Computer facilities: The University provides the computing facilities needed to support all the courses offered as well as research work. Computing facilities are based in the University Computer Centre, the Faculty Computer Centres, the computing laboratories of the Institute of Information and the computing laboratories of the various departments. The computing facilities in the different laboratories are varied, ranging from personal computers to multi-user systems. Most of these computers are linked to the university network providing easy access to university data banks, software tools, library on-line catalogue, workstations, large computer systems and the Internet as well.

Sports facilities: 12 tennis courts, a football stadium, a sport hall with up to date facilities, several gymnasiums and keep-fit rooms, basketball and valley-ball grounds.

Accommodation: On arrival the students get temporary lodging in one of the halls of residence until they rent a flat in the town. Their tutor helps them in finding suitable accommodation. The tutors help the students both in adapting the academic and every day life in Hungary.

Preparatory course: The preparatory courses offered are of one year’s duration. The main objective of these programmes is to develop a command of the working language. A further goal is to bring students up to the level required for academic success in basic subjects. A successful completion of the preparatory course will permit the student to join a degree course.
