Library: The Central Medical Library was established in 1946. It contains 138,000 books and periodicals, and has a direct med-line connection to the European medical databanks. The University Library offers more than 1,250,000 volumes and periodicals to meet the students' requirements.
Computer facilities: Students can use computers at the Department of Informatics
(E-mail, Internet are available).
Free time and sport activities: Programs offered through the Department of Physical Education include tennis, swimming, physical fitness and conditioning courses, rowing, soccer, table tennis, water polo, handball, basketball, volleyball. Seasonal ski tours are organized to the surrounding countries.
Housing: The University maintains its own apartment house consisting of 24 furnished apartments, which are available to students of the Foreign Language Programs. Information about the rental rates are available at the Foreign Students' Secretariat. The Secretariat also provides help to find private accommodation.

Preparatory courses: These courses are organized for students who require additional instruction of review in sciences and languages to prepare them to take the entrance examination for admission into the regular degree programs of the University.
The course organized by University of Szeged is eight months long, starting in October each year. Th language of instruction is English. The course accepts 30-32 students. The tuition fee is 4700 USD.

Entrance examination: Entrance examinations are held between 20th of May and 20th of August. Late applications can be considered on request. The decision on acceptance will be made on the basis of documents submitted and upon an entrance examination which consists of a written test (Biology, Chemistry or Physics and English Language) and an oral interview (Biology and alternatively Chemistry or Physics).
Application Procedure: Application forms may be obtained from the Foreign Students' Secretariat. The completed forms should be sent back to the Secretariat, together with all the necessary enclosures. Deadline for application: June 30.
Notice: Students are expected to learn the basics of the Hungarian language during the first four semesters, in order to perform personal interviews with patients, beginning in the fifth semester.
