14.02 Unsafe Equipment Appointing Authorities shall cause instructions to be issued to all supervisors in their departments not to permit any unsafe equipment to be used nor any unsafe work methods to be used in any instance to the end that accidents will not occur because of such equipment or method.
14.03 Defective and Worn-out Tools If a tool, machine or piece of equipment is found to be defective, worn-out or dangerous to operate because of its condition, the immediate supervisor shall be instructed not to permit its use until it is authorized by the Appointing Authority.
