Three long-term objectives guide the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) to the achievement of its mission to enrich the lives of all Australians through sport. These objectives are:
continued strengthening of Australia’s international sporting success and reputation through assistance to national sporting organisations and the provision of world class training facilities and support services and programs;
a robust, self-supporting sports industry created through the provision of national leadership and direction in the area of sport policy and the enhancement of the management capabilities of sports delivery agencies; and
equality of access to, and increased participation in sport, achieved through the development and implementation of programs designed to promote participation as well as adding value to the experiences of those people participating in a sporting activity.
