AUSLIG (spatial information services):

• 
  Implementation of national policies and standards, and coordination of spatial information programs;
  
• 
  Provision of fundamental spatial information of Australia from national mapping, remote sensing, geodesy and maritime boundaries programs; and
  
• 
  Providing readily access to spatial information from these programs for the benefit of industry, government and the Australian community.
  

IPS (radio and space services):

• 
  Monitoring and analysis of space weather phenomena through a network of national and regional solar and ionospheric observatories; and
  
• 
  Provision of online space weather services and data to assist radio propagation, space activities and geophysical operations.
  

Priorities Analytical laboratory services:

• 
  Improve the quality of chemical measurement within Australia and the region through the development and maintenance of chemical standards and knowledge dissemination.
  
• 
  Provide clients and stakeholders with a suite of chemical and microbiological measurement services in the areas of drugs, food and environment, particularly the capability and capacity for dioxins and genetically modified food testing.
  
• 
  Develop a capability to contribute to Australia’s needs associated with biological metrology.
