Evaluations planned in 2001-02 include the impact of the Olympics on inbound tourism. In addition, all major seminars, workshops and conferences organised by the ATC will be subject to participant evaluation.
The ATC also has an ongoing program of evaluating major projects, as well as conducting ongoing tracking studies in key markets to evaluate Australia’s desirability as a tourist destination. These studies also assess the effectiveness of the Commission’s advertising. Research is also conducted into community attitudes into the social, environmental and cultural impacts of international tourism.
The ATC conducted an extensive stakeholder satisfaction study in 1999 and will continue to monitor satisfaction levels with key stakeholders annually.
