ANSTO has developed a customer-driven framework to ensure that delivery of specified outputs meets or exceeds anticipated requirements. Five output-focussed core business areas have been designed with specific objectives addressing each of the outputs. Our business processes will translate opportunities into innovative solutions or products on a project by project basis. Individual performance indicators measure project achievements. Project results aggregate into output categories that contribute to the Government’s strategy to promote innovation in Australia through support to science and technology to benefit from the knowledge-based global economy.
Justification for the outputs chosen to achieve outcome 3 is described in Table 2.2.3. The Table provides information on the strategies chosen to deliver outcome 3, and shows the links between the outputs and the outcomes. The Table lists the performance information that ANSTO will use to assess the level of its achievement of outcome 3 during 2001-02.
