As part of its ongoing performance management, AGSO monitors the progress and effectiveness of its geoscientific projects to ensure that its science is high quality and has maximum impact.
AGSO was part of the Office of Asset Sales and Information Technology Outsourcing (OASITO) Cluster 9 for the purpose of IT outsourcing. Following the report of the Humphry review into the Government’s IT outsourcing program and in line with that report’s recommendations, AGSO engaged Re-engineering Australia to assess the risks to the organisation of proceeding with the outsourcing initiative. AGSO’s Chief Executive Officer will assess how to manage the risks identified in the light of AGSO’s IT needs and will then determine whether to proceed with outsourcing and if so, the scope of any outsourcing.
