OUTCOME 2 — RESOURCING

Table 2.1.2 shows how the 2001-02 appropriations translate to total resourcing for outcome 2, including revenue from government (appropriation), revenue from other sources, and the total price of outputs. Cell references C2 and E2 show the links back to Table 1.1, the Appropriations Table.

OUTCOME 2 — CONTRIBUTION OF OUTPUTS

The ASC output of significantly increased sports participation reflects the Government’s decision to drive Active Australia partnership outcomes under the Active Australia brand. The ASC will provide national leadership in the growth of grass roots sport development through:

• 
  negotiation of strategic Active Australia partnerships;
  
• 
  increased sports club registrations;
  
• 
  support for volunteers;
  
• 
  engagement of schools and local sports networks; and
  
• 
  efforts to meet the needs of special population groups.
  

Justification for the choice of the output to achieve outcome 2 is described in Table

2.2.2. The Table provides information on the strategies chosen to deliver outcome 2, and shows the links between the output and the outcome.
