JUNIOR SHIP SURVEYOR - POWERS AND DUTIES

• 
  Survey and inspection of sailing vessel.
  
• 
  Inspection of Hull including details relating to Form, Design, Stability Strength and sub-division etc.
  
• 
  Measurement of Passenger accommodation.
  
• 
  Survey of Load Lines.
  
• 
  Partial Survey of LSA during constructions and other duties arising under M.S. Act, 1958 and Rules framed thereunder.
  

DUTIES OF OFFICE SUPERINTENDENT

• 
  Oversees the overall supervision and control of the activities of the respective Branch.
  
• 
  Supervision and control of the staff working under him/her.
  
• 
  Examination of cases put up by the Assistants with reference to the rules and regulations in force and recommend further action.
  
• 
  Maintenance of discipline amongst the staff members of the respective Branch.
  
• 
  Assist the Branch Officer in discharge of his functions with regard to the respective Branch.
  
• 
  Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the superior officers.
