Asymmetric Synthesis of Various Chiral Heteroorganic Ligands
In this thesis study, new chiral heteroorganic ligands were synthesized applicable to obtain chiral Boron catalysts. These ligands include O and N heteroatoms. 5 new original chiral O/N based Boron catalysts (6K…10K) were obtained with synthesized ligands.
Additionally 4 original chiral Boron catalysts were also obtained from 4 chiral purchased ligands. (1S….4S). An achiral Boron catalyst (5K) was synthesized with an achiral ligand (5S). This catalyst variety was appreciated on catalyst applicability studies.
In the first step of study the optimum reaction conditions for Boron catalyst synthesis were determined by a variety of trials. The obtained standart Boron catalyst’s structure was examined with 11B-NMR analysis.
In the second stage, 20 O/N chiral ligands (1L….20L) were synthesized from carbohydrates with amination method. 17 of them are original. Mannose was used as carbohydrate. Three (21L….23L) chiral ligands were also synthesized with biological active Quercetin, Curcumin,Aandrosterone structures. Ligands’ structure were solved with IR, UV, 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR, chiral HPLC, GC-MS, MS, LC-MS analyzes.
In the third stage new 9 chiral and 1 achiral Boron catalysts were gained according to the method stated in the first stage of the study.
In the fourth stage of the study, these catalysts’ asymmetric reduction potantials were researched in Phenyl undecyl ketone’s asymmetric reduction reactions with the trials of different reaction conditions and criterias. Achieved catalysts’ activities were determined with HPLC according to the enantiomeric excess degree.
