4Explorations 4.1Interactive Radio
In response to the Call for Proposals at the 88th meeting (N10568) to be answered by this meeting, MPEG received a sufficient amount of technology to continue its work. The technical work started in the Systems subgroup.
Requirements for Interactive Radio were updated as captured in N 10856 Requirements v4 for a new BIFS profile to support Interactive Digital Radio.
4.23D Video Coding
In the Applications and Requirements document N10857 Applications and Requirements for 3DV, the compatibility between stereoscopic video and 3D video is clarified in order to highlight the relevance of stereoscopic video for the future 3DV market.
The test material for 3DV was reviewed. It appears that there is still a need for more high quality test material.
The 3DV experts were encouraged to develop a time table for developing the standard. By the end of the meeting, it was not yet available.
