In M24255, it was reported that the software package related to the IDCT conformance test does not produce the expected text output for some of the tests performed. To improve the software behaviour, a draft corrigendum (N12737) was produced.

6Reconfigurable media coding (RMC)
The RVC breakout group performed mostly editing work related to Amd.1 of 23001-4 (CAL extensions) and the corrigendum on the tool library (missing links of FUs for AVC baseline profile). Joint meetings were held with the 3DG subgroup, and it is planned to produce a new edition of the tool library upon completion of the currently ongoing amendments and corrigenda, which would then integrate all video and 3DG related components defined so far.
Another point of discussion with 3DG was about the generic implementation of the parser and the support of RVC-BSDL by reconfigurable graphics coding. Further discussions were about support for mathematical functions (square root, logarithm) and support for 64-bit floating-point (double-precision floating-point) values.
The generic parser will be further studied and validated.

Two input documents were received with regard to an RVC implementation of HEVC. These are mainly related to an initial study on parser and data flow structures. In principle, it appears that an HEVC implementation in RVC would be straightforward.

Beyond that, it was announced that the SVC implementation is ongoing as an activity of the AHG members, and therefore it appears again as one of the AHG mandates (unified AHG now under the 3DG subgroup).
