2.3Summary of discussion

m24981

We need to mention specific version of ITU-R BS.1770 for dynamic range compression. Further work needs to be done regarding Text and Application code points. Concerning URN format codec names method used in MP4 would be used as initial proposal.

4.3Summary of discussions

m24930:

This is an extension on the work of using BIFS instead of protocols such as X11. A legacy application on Unix displays its UI on X11. The X11 dialog is captured and translated to BIFS. BIFS is then streamed to a thin client. A backend to generate HTML5 for this system has been created. Two videos are shown, with a phone running an HTML5 browser and a tablet running osmo4; an application is shown on the two devices at the same time, and each side can do part of the editing. The application is text editing on the first video and web browsing on the second video. In order for this scenario to be doable, the authors recommend to extend BIFS to allow the use of Web Sockets in BIFS scenes. MPEG-4 events can be used instead, but Web Sockets is more efficient. The authors will bring benchmarks at the next meeting. The document is noted.

New nodes for MPEG-4 BIFS to support ARAF

  • standard defined PROTOs with informative implementation with Java Script in CD

    • Marker

    • Map

  • WD

    • Augmentation Region

      • automatic scaling

      • animation (by using BIFS animation, AFX)

      • metadata about type(?)

    • Reference Signal

      • could be used as a condition for rendering of some other scene graph

      • provide “reference transform” for composition

    • Implicit Geometry

      • Geometry of the object in the scene for calculating textual property of augmented objects such as occlusion and reflection….

5.3Summary of discussions

m24685

Thank you for the correction of the isoX brands; editors to cross-check and incorporate. We remove the iods and the note from isom. We prefer not to move mp42 from part 14 or the mp71 brand section, but we will remove the note on mp71. We add text to state the sections do not imply inheritance.

m24988

Thank you for this; we appreciate the movement on this problem. The group had a number of questions, and clearly this is a start.

We probably need two (or more) documents out of this; WD of amendment for part 12 defining core concepts (track types, and so on), and then one or more documents defining specific format storage (WD of ‘Storage of TTML family formats in ISO BMFF Files’, ‘Storage of VTT’, and so on).

At this meeting, we take this as a WD of a combined document, and separate it later.
