The contribution anticipates that DASH will have widespread adoption, and presents the case of using HE-AAC/AAC-LC with MPEG Surround in DASH. It notes that if MPEG Surround receives a SpatialSpecificConfig() in the bitstream (as opposed to at instantiation), the reference software produces an error. Hence, the contribution proposes a solution.
The contribution proposes to have a workplan from the 100th meeting
The Chair notes that the ballot on ISO/IEC 23003-1:2007/AMD 2:2008/DCOR 3, MPEG Surround Reference Software closes on 2012-05-27. The presenter suggested a 2 week editing period for a Study on ISO/IEC 23003-1:2007/AMD 2:2008/DCOR 3. The Chair noted that a NB ballot comment must be cast between the 14th and the 27th that requests adopting the Study on as the final COR.

The contribution notes a bug in the MPEG Surround reference software. In the case of arbitrary downmix, common_window=1, and channel_pair() coding, the reference software is not able to decode the stream. The corrected software is enclosed in the contribution zip archive.
It was the consensus of the Audio Subgroup to incorporate the proposes software correction into a Study on ISO/IEC 23003-1:2007/AMD 2:2008/DCOR 3. This will have a 2 week editing period.
