A first document on use cases and requirements on MPEG-H Audio was created: N12610 Draft Use Cases, Requirements and Evaluation Procedures for 3D Audio. Topics for standardization are high quality audio using 22.2 channels, object coding or ambisonics. An additional application area is high quality audio on mobile devices. At this point, test sequences are missing.
A tentative timeline foresees a CfP in 7/2012 and a response in 1/2013.
