He reminded the group that the DAM 3 document was issued at the 97th MPEG, and at that meeting it was decided that the LD-AAC V2 Profile definition would be included in DAM 3. However, there was no ballot comment that gave the mandate to do so. At this meeting, the ballot on DAM 3 includes three NB comments giving such a mandate, so the Chair asked the group to affirm the decision made at the 97th meeting.
It was the consensus of the Audio Subgroup to incorporate the LD-AAC V2 profile into the ISO/IEC 14496-3:2009/FDAM 3 text.
The participants discussed the status of MPEG-7 reference software. The Audio reference software is primarily in Matlab and is already available on the MPEG SVN repository. One MPEG-7 Audio descriptor, Spoken Content, is in the MPEG-7 XM code repository. There was considerable discussion on how to maintain the MPEG-7 XM code so that it can be used in conjunction with Visual Search work item.
It was decided that Audio does not need to take any action with respect to this effort.
