Summary report (1 proposal submitted):

  Samsung described adaptive depth quantization techniques. Gains of 0.50% and 0.41% were reported for 2 and 3-view cases.
  

Samsung had described the same technique as proposed for AVC. An adaptive depth quantization method was proposed, where the method assigns more bits for more complex textures. It involves computing a frame complexity and a complexity for each block. Delta QP is determined based on a ratio of the two values for each block.

In discussion, it was suggested to consider comparison with an encoder-only method, and questiones whether the obtained gain is enough.
