Presentation of Structured Information (PSI)
MPEG wants to develop a standard that enables declarative representation of structured information such as MPEG-21 Digital Item to maintain interoperable presentation of it across different implementations by conforming such standard, so-called PSI (Presentation of Structured Information). A call for proposals (N9905) and associated requirements (N9904) have been issued.

A specific constraint set for bitstreams used in video surveillance applications was requested. A requirements document (N9959) for this proposed MAF is specified.

A MAF supporting playback of multiple audio streams is requested. Compared to the music player MAF, additional streams have to play synchronously. Existing MPEG technologies and requirements have to be evaluated in order to clarify the difference to existing MAFs.
