5.1.1Interactive Music
Inseon Jang, ETRI, gave a presentation on a concept for interactive music: “Music2.0.” The viewgraphs summarized functionality that the concept might support and gave requirements for those functionalities. Additional details can be found in contributions m15390, m15391.
The Audio Chair noted that a current MPEG work item SAOC. Jeongil, ETRI, noted that for the fullest possible flexibility, discrete coding may be necessary, and that the total coded rate of discrete coding is comparable to that of SAOC.
It was agreed that this will be discussed in a MAF AhG hosted by Systems that will have the mandate to discuss the extent which SAOC might meet these requirements. Audio experts are urged to read MAF Overview and MAF Presentation.
