Thoughts on MBO/FGO decoding process of SAOC

This contribution reviewed the operation of SAOC and MPEG Surround for the case of Karaoke/Solo and MBO/FGO processing. It noted that diagrams in the SAOC WD of the previous meeting do not describe the full flexibility of this processing, and proposed a new diagram having additional detail and additional text for the WD. However, it appears that revisions in the SAOC WD text done during the AhG period have addressed these concerns and so no action is required.

Report on corrections for the MPEG SAOC WD text

This contribution proposes a number of editorial or minor technical changes to the SAOC WD text. It was the consensus of the Audio Subgroup to accept the purely editorial changes into WD text.

LG experts noted that the proposed changes to the MCU combiner seem to be a new functionality. These MCU-related issues will be studied and discussed further later in the MPEG week.
