Assess the complexity and efficiency of resolution adaption (as in JCTVC-F158) against alternative approaches e.g. increased QP, and pre-filtering.

Study loss robustness properties and compare with techniques such as adaptive reference frame selection.

Investigate suitable resolution switching filters.

Consider the implications in terms of signalling, HRD, DPB management, and random access.
