Performance Benchmarking of C Code Automatically Generated by ORCC from RVC-CAL Code on a Quad-Core Machine

Junaid Jameel Ahmad, Shujun Li

Experiments have been performed on Crypto Tool Library (m18404). It is shown in the contribution that Code generation can scale its performance and achieve a performance gain between 210% up to 380% on a quad-core platform.

Evaluating the RVC Supporting Tools’ Support for XDF Networks with a Large Number of Actors

Junaid Jameel Ahmad, Shujun Li

This contribution reports that Orcc can handle networks of FUs composed of a very large number of actors. When the back-end is not using instantiation, generated code can be compiled and run. It would be useful if such large networks could also be displayed (a feature not available currently).

Building Joint MPEG-4 AVC Video Encryption-Encoding (JVEE) System in the RVC Framework

Junaid Jameel Ahmad, Shujun Li, Ihab Amer, Marco Mattavelli

This contribution illustrates the facility to combine video encoding and decoding with other signal processing units using the RVC framework. This is highlighted in this contribution reporting an AVC codec combined with cryptographic FUs that can produce an encrypted video bitstream.

Building Joint Image Encryption-Encoding (JIEE) and Compressed Domain Image Watermarking Systems in the RVC Framework

Junaid Jameel Ahmad, Shujun Li, Endri Bezati, Marco Mattavelli

This contribution illustrates the facility to combine video encoding and decoding with other signal processing units using RVC framework. The results are highlighted in this contribution by a JPEG codec combined with cryptographic FUs

Report on Dynamic Runtime Reconfiguration on ASICs for Designs Generated from RVC Descriptions

Francesca Palumbo, Nicolas Siret, Luigi Raffo, Jean-François Nezan, Matthieu Wipliez

The contribution reports some results on runtime configuration of RVC specifications of FPGA platforms. The tool presented is able to parse different decoder configurations and generate a common decoder configuration that can be dynamically reconfigured according to the input bitstream. Implementation results shows a reduction of surface and power consumption versus the non-dynamic implementation.
