2MPEG-7 AVDP

Several broadcasters requested a new profile for MPEG-7 covering several aspects of Audio, Video and Systems. The main functionality of this audiovisual description profile (AVDP) is describing the results of automatic media analysis with audio/video low-level features for audio-visual content. They are to be used for the archives of the broadcast industry. The current work plan foresees the amendment to be finalized in 11/2011. At this meeting, a new use case was added to the documents. Software was updated.
The group created N12212 AVDP Annex ver.2 for AVDP DAM (AVDP reference software). This document may be considered when National Bodies cast their vote on ISO/IEC 15938-9:2005/DAM 1. Profiles are defined in N12213 Text of ISO/IEC 15938-11:2005/PDAM 1 Audiovisual description profile (AVDP) schema. The Requirements subgroup further requests an amendment to MPEG-7: N12211 Request for 15938-11:2005/AMD 1.

The adhoc group N12193 AHG on Audio Visual Description Profile will work on AVDP topics until the 98^th meeting.
