Materials and methods: Field experiments were conducted in 2022 at the Samarkand experimental station of scientific-research institute of vegetables crops, melons and potatoes.
Describe factors that were analysed in your experiment (variety and precrop). Mention that you work with potatoes. How many replicates there are.
The soils of the experimental station is meadow gray soils. Such soils are provided with high carbonate bases. The reaction of this soil solution is weakly alkaline.
In order to determine the length of the growing season of plants, phenological observations were conducted in a generally accepted manner. How does your scale work? Describe it. If there are point scale for example then describe what does each point mean.
Biometric measurements were carried out every 15 days in the style of the Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable and Potato Crops of Uzbekistan. The height of the plants, the number of stems, the number of leaves and the number of axillary stems were determined.
Plant productivity and crop structure were determined by average sampling.
The level of reliability of the results obtained from experiments was determined mathematically (B.A. Dospekhov, 1979)
Describe agrometeorogical conditions. Is different for yearly average if it is too hot or too dry mention it. Please write temperatures in Celsius and rainfall in mm. Split it by phenological stages or months. Mention that experiment area is irrigated .
In our experiments, potatoes planted after various previous crops had a significant effect on the duration of the transition of development phases during the growing season.
Potato yield t ha^-1 and tuber weight (g) was analysed. See the example attached in my email.
Results.
Describe yield and tuber weight depending on variety and precrop. You can make 4 graphs or summary tamble.
Letters in excel file below goups show if the results are significantly different from each other, different letters mean there are significant difference. For example a is significantly different from b and c. And if the letters are the same that means there is no significant difference.
