ISP research support started in 2010, and was concluded in 2015 when the group became part of the network SEAMaN. The number of staff in the Department who holds a PhD degree is not sufficient for the development of the Department and other sciences. Thus, an increasing number of PhD in different fields in pure and applied mathematics supported by the international institutions is, indeed, in great needs for the Department. The Department also wants to contribute the research activities of higher education in Mathematics in Cambodia up to a regional and international level. IPPS CAM:01 This project aims to continue and improve the quality of the M. Sc. in Physics Program, build more research capacities in Physics and related fields through several research activities such as technical trainings and academic exchanges, training potential staff for a PhD degree and community services. This can significantly contribute to the building of more research capacities in Physics to conduct scientific research in the country and for the sustainability of the M. Sc. in Physics Program at RUPP, Cambodia. These activities respond to the visions 2018 (education, research and community service) and 2030 of the university and the ministry of education youth and sport, respectively.
