Objectives

The aim of the project is to generate scientific results on dynamics of the ionosphere within the low-latitude regions of the African sector. The activities are also expected to generate scientific results on the stellar parameters using asteroseismologocal techniques; however, the research horizon will not be limited to asteroseismology.

To get the expertise in Science and Technology needed for economic development, young students should be motivated and attracted to the science subjects. This can be achieved through the introduction of subjects that motivate and attract young people into mathematics and science. At this point, it is important to recognize the power of Astrophysics and Space Science in attracting students into science subjects. The starting point for this to be realised is by training the required human resource for both teaching and training students in research.
