[57] A drive mechanism for an injection device in which piston means are selectively driven to expel medicament from within a medicament cartridge, the drive mechanism comprising drive means, first gear means associated with the drive means, second gear means being moveable between a first position in which only movement along its longitudinal axis is permitted and a second position in which the second gear means is free to rotate about the longitudinal axis, the piston means (280) being associated with the second gear means, a housing (276) within which the first gear means and the second gear means are constrained for movement, and biasing means (282) located between the housing and the second gear means to bias the second gear means to the first position. __________
[57] A method of designing an intraocular correction lens capable of reducing aberrations of an eye after its implantation and adapted to be placed between the cornea and the capsular bag of the eye, comprising the steps of: (i) measuring the wave front aberration of the uncorrected eye using a wavefront sensor; (ii) measuring the shape of at least one corneal surface in the eye using a corneal topographer; (iii) characterizing the at least one corneal surface and a lens located in the capsular bag of the eye comprising said cornea as mathematical models; (iv) calculating the resulting aberrations of said corneal surface(s) and the lens in said capsular bag by employing said mathematical models; (v) selecting an optical power of the intraocular correction lens; (vi) modeling the intraocular correction lens such that a wavefront arriving from an optical system comprising said intraocular correction lens and the mathematical models of said corneal surface and said lens in the capsular bag obtains reduced aberrations.
