Despite the fact that the Turkic-Mongol sovereignty period, that is called the “Dark Age” by the Russian Historians, had lost its activity, it kept on existing up to the end of the 15th century with the help of the Golden Horde, that was established by Batu, and Kazan Khanate, that was also established by one of the Golden Horde khans named Ulud Muhammed. Althoug Moscow Princedom had gained its independence from the Turkic-Mongol sovereignty, the Turkic-Mongol authority continued existing for the very long time especially in government establishments of the Russian State, that was a sequential of Moscow Princedom.

Nogay Khan, who was Cuci’s seventh son Boal’s child, managed to take an important position in the government because of his success during the wars made with Hulagu in the Golden Horde’s khan Berke’s time. In spite of the fact that Nogah Khan could not become a khan after Berke Khan’s death beacuse of his not being from Berke’s clan, he managed to gather the influential force. Nogay Khan’s authority was of the great significance in the Russian Princes’ replacement. Nogay Khan’s authority became the reason for struggles for the throne in the Golden Horde. Moreover, struggles was continued by his successors. The area nearby the Ural river was called the Nogay Horde as Nogay occupied the aforementioned area during the Golden Horde’s time. With the time the Turkic-Mongol people? Who lived in the very area, started to be called “Nogays” or “the Nogay Tatars”.

Despite the fact that the Nogays had exerted their power in demolishing the Golden Horde’s sovereignty, they took the much more important role in Kazan Khanate’s seizure. The Nogay Mirzas’ relationship with Ivan the fourth is of the great significance from the point of view of the time. Because of this the Turkish scientists’ research in the field of the Russian and Nogay relationships in the 16th century will reveal many unknown facts.
