LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for N. C. Buller, 67, were held Monday, Sept. 2, 1985, from Bold Springs, Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. C. L. Moore officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Buller died August 31 in Lufkin Memorial Hospital. He was born August 17, 1918 in Livingston, the son of the late Penn and Belle Martin Buller. He was reared in the Bold Springs and Livingston area and attended public schools in those communities. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army. He retired in 1982 from J. C. Smith and Son, Sand and Gravel Co., after 28 years of employment. Mr. Buller was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Belle Martin Buller of Livingston; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Burnett of Livingston; a brother-in-law, Louis Burnett of Livingston, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Charlie Smith, Hodge Buller, Fred June Martin; Doug Stanford, Billy Peebles, and Melford Martin. Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Reames Buller, Buddy Martin, Forest Brooks, Melvin Radke, Wallace Buller, E. W. (Bob) Pinckard, O. C. (Cliff) Pinckard and Roland Wilder.
Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON - Services were held for Nola Irene Buller, age 62, who passed away on
October 11, 1969 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Bold Springs community on Monday,
October 13, 1969 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. John Carter Watts officiating assisted by Rev.
C. L. Moore. Interment followed in the Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Buller was born the daughter of John and Catherine Tullos McCormick. A native of Polk County, she was born near Leggett and attended the Public schools of the Leggett Community. On August 3, 1923, she was married to Joseph Reams Buller Sr. to this union were born five children. All survive. Mrs. Buller was a loving mother and devoted wife. Her love and devotion to her family and many friends will be long remembered. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother Catherine Tullos McCormick, three sons, Joseph Reams Buller Jr. of Livingston, Hodge Buller of Starks, La; Wallace Buller of Livingston, Texas. Two daughters, Mrs. Edna Marsh of League City and Mrs. Evelyn Coker of Livingston; two brothers; Willie McCormick of Liberty and Lon McCormick of Dallas;
three sisters, Mrs. Jack LaRoe of Goodrich, Mrs. Clemon Walters also of Goodrich and
Mrs. Kermit Gregory of Irving. Sixteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Eddie Marsh, Rogers Marsh, Laban Marsh, John McCormick,
David Carruthers, N. C. Buller, Roland Wilder, John Nick Walding.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston.

2 Nov 1916 – Mr. D. F. Burgess died at his home at Nettie last Friday afternoon
at 2:45 after an illness of about six weeks. He was 68 years of age at the time of
his death. Mr. Burgess had been a resident of Polk county for the past 30 years
and for the past 12 years had lived at Nettie.
…He leaves a wife, seven sons, Sam and Marsh of Nettie, Dan of Morton, Miss.,
Dave of this city, Walter of Port Arthur, Bob of Texarkana, Ark., and Guy of Buck;
four daughters, Mrs. Alice Townsen of Groveton, Misses Inez and Lyttle and Mrs.

ONALASKA – Eassel Ray Burgett, 61, of Onalaska died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 in
Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Funeral services were held Monday, March 1,
at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, with the Rev. Ronnie Thompson and
the Rev. Glen Grammer officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. He was
born Jan. 9, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the son of Charles A. and Ada Duncan Burgett.
He married Judy Grammer Burgett on Dec. 13, 1964 in North Port, Ala. He was a former
member of the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his
parents; grandson, Bradley McDonald and sister, Geneva Ann Winters. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Judy Grammer Burgett of Onalaska; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Debra McDonald of Onalaska and Matthew and Peggy Burgett of Clear Lake; daughter and special friend, Cam Rivers and Mark Parker of Livingston; granddaughters, Jennifer Dunn of Alabama, Bobbie Jo McDonald of Port Arthur; Danielle McDonald of Alabama, Wendie McDonald of Alabama, Rashel Rivers of Livingston and Schyler Findley of Onalaska; grand-sons, Warren Kelly of Livingston, Steven Findley of Alabama, Josh Findley of Onalaska, Spencer Burgett of Clear Lake, Michael Burgett of Clear Lake and Timothy Burgett of Clear Lake and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. R. Lacaze, Russell Crawley, Mark Rivers, Mitch Newman, Marty Drake, Buddy Paul Whatley and Spencer Burgett.
