Livingston – Funeral services for Willie Mae McCarty Coker, 83, of Livingston
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 1994, from the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Coker died March 1 at her residence in Colita after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 24, 1910 in Carmona, the oldest of 10 children of James H. and Mildred Glass McCarty, both of whom preceded her in death. She was reared in Polk County and, on April 29, 1930, married J. C. Coker. They resided the rest of her life in Colita. Her first love on this earth was her family, and she spent her entire life taking care of them and her home. She loved working in her yard and garden and always canned more than she could ever use. Everyone who visited her left with an example of her hard work and love that went into everything she did. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Bold Springs and truly lived a Christian Life.
She never told a dirty joke or said an ugly word and was known as the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lady anyone could ever find. She will be missed by all those she ever touched. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Coker of Colita; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Mary Helen Coker of Colita; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Aubrey Hubert and Dick Hubert of Livingston, and Carol and Joe Pridgen of Colita; one sister, Birdie Hand Gutherie of Bold Springs; two brothers, David McCarty and Frank McCarty of Leggett; 15 grandchildren;23 great-grand-children; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bowen, David Aubrey, James Aubrey, John Aubrey, Chuck Aubrey and John Coker. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Scott, Larry Miller, Mike Bowen, Lloyd Coker and Terry Browning. Pace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Coker, Wilson Lee – b: Apr. 3, 1945 d: Apr. 23, 1948

Services for Woodrow Wilson Coker, aged 53, were held from the chapel of the Pace Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24, 1968, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. C. L. Moore officiating. Interment was in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Coker was born the son of Lila Yerby and Lawrence Coker. A native of Texas, he was born in Denton County. Mr. Coker was engaged in sawmill work and at the time of his death was an employee of the Leggett Lumber Company. Mr. Coker was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; Willie Dee Sims Coker of Livingston, TX, his mother, Lila Coker of Livingston, 3 step-sons, Leslie Sims, Donald Lowe and Jesse Lowe, all of Livingston, 2 daughters; Mrs. Margaret Morris of Livingston, Mrs. Beatrice Albritton of San Francisco, California, 3 step-daughters; Oleta Sims, Barbara Sue Griggs, and Judy Keller, all of Livingston, Texas, one brother; J. LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Birdie Mae Conner, 85, were held Friday, July 7, 2000, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Jack Conner officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery, Livingston. Mrs. Conner died Tuesday, July 4, in Memorial Medical Center, Lufkin. She was born July 5, 1913 in Bold Springs, the daughter
of Riley and Maxie Taylor Helmontoller, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her daughters Octavia Heiman of Cold Spring, Lorene Meadows of Elkhart and Maxine Hubert of Livingston; sisters, Sarah Cummings of Moscow and Doris Herman of Livingston; grandsons, Gregg Heiman, Steven Heiman and Wayne Hubert: granddaughters, Karen Willis, Pam Meadow and Rhonda Barton; seven great-grandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Steven Heiman, Gregg Heiman, Wayne Hubert, Burt Shotwell Jr., Joe LeBlanc and Chad Stanford.
