Funeral Services for Mrs. Maude Walker Kelley, 86, of Houston and formerly of the Camden area were held in Pace Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Dec 19 at 2 p.m. Rev. Harry Walker officiating. Burial was in Bold Springs Cemetery and pallbearers were H. L. Spitzenberger, G. H. Spitzenberger, Pat Jensan, T. L. McKeehan, Daniel D. McKeehan and Edward E. Henson Jr.; Mrs. Kelley was a native of Llano County were she attended school, and moved to Polk County about 1900 and settled in the Camden area. She later moved to

Houston and Cleveland and was living in Houston at the time of her death. Survivors include two sons, Harry Olin Barker of Etoile and Louis Edward Kelley of Houston, two daughters, Mrs. Eddie Henson of Houston and Mrs. Lester Brock of Cleveland; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Sellers of Arlington; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren

Livingston – Funeral services for Estel Arlene Lawrence King, 63, of Livingston were held Monday, Oct. 26, 1992, from the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Hood and the Rev. Orval Barer officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. King died Oct. 25 in Polk County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1929 in the Bold Springs community, Polk County, the daughter of Robert Lee Lawrence and Pearl Beaumond Armitage. She was an assistant manager for Perry Bros. Inc. for 38 years, retiring in 1984. Mrs. King attended Livingston High School. She was a member of the Livingston Pilot Club and the First Baptist Church, where she was secretary of her Sunday school class. On Nov. 18, 1978 she married C. L. King in Bold Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, C. L. King of Livingston; one brother, Wilson Ray Lawrence of Livingston; two sisters, Lillian Vivian Murphy of Livingston and Katherine Gassiot of Livingston; three step-sons, Larry Wayne King of Beaumont, Charles Ray King of Livingston and Kenneth Lloyd King of Austin; two stepdaughters, Oleta King Newcomb of Whitehouse and Carol Anne King of Trinity; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers were Walter Drawe, Frank Murphy, David Butters, Bobby Lawrence, Larry Lawrence, John Cain, Edwin Carter and J. T. Grimes.

Cochran Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Services for Mrs. Fannie Lophelia Knowles, 47, of Baytown, formerly of Livingston, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Pace Funeral Home chapel in Livingston with Houston Conley, minister of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. She died April 11 in Baytown. A native of Livingston, Mrs. Knowles was born the daughter of the late Albert E. and Bula Pierce Crim Feb 13, 1926. She later moved to Waxahachie where she received her education in public schools. For the past 18 years she had lived in Baytown where she was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Keeton of Bellaire, Mrs. Glynda Raye Scott of Dallas and Mrs. Crowelyne Sue Wandmaker of Baytown; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Rhodes of New Orleans, La; two brothers William Knowles of Baytown and Clayton Wallace of Livingston and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Johnny Riley, Odell Wells, Denney Wells, Roger Dale Pierce,

Robert Pierce and Billy Pierce.

Ronald Lee Kotrla 50, of Huffman, Texas passed away April 29, 2007.  Ronald was born January 14, 1957 in Houston, TX to Rueben and Annie (Dolouhy) Kotrla.  Ronald was a welder by trade and he loved to work.  Some of his hobbies were woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.  Ronald was a very kind, quiet and reserved person who will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother Annie Kotrla, and grandson Roman Kotrla.  He is survived by his loving wife of

26 years Dewanna Kotrla, father, Rueben Kotrla, son, Matthew Kotrla and wife Mickey, daughter Michele Kotrla, son Wesley Kotrla, brother, Calvin Kotrla and wife Sherlyn, brother Charles Kotrla, grandchildren; Dominick, Katlyn, and many other  relatives

and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday May 1, 2007 from 5-8pm

at Sterlng-White Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday May 2, 2007, 

10 a.m. at Crosby Brethern Church with Dr. Larry Koslovsky officiating.  Graveside Services will be 2pm at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Burleson County, and two brothers, Enoch Laramore of Moro, Texas and Pat

Sept. 21, 2004, at Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating.

Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Lawrence died Saturday, Sept. 18,

at his residence in Livingston. He was born Aug. 12, 1942 in Polk County, the son

of Roy Vern Lawrence and Florence Vera Chambers Lawrence. He was preceded

in death by his parents and his brother, August Frank Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence

served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his daughters, Casey Lawrence of

Livingston and Ashley Lawrence of Livingston; son, Chris Brown of Livingston;

brother, Glen Lawrence of Livingston; sisters, Pearlee Blackerby of Livingston

and Jimmie M. Monroe of Houston; grandchildren, Scott, Dustin, Destiny, Derek

LIVINGSTON – Florence Chambers Lawrence, 90, of Livingston died Thursday,

June 17, 2004, in Livingston. Services were held Saturday, June 19, at Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank E. Hood officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery under the direction of Pace Funeral Home. Mrs. Lawrence, the oldest of

nine children, was born on Aug. 21, 1913 in Bedias to parents James A. and Ora Mae Mills Chambers. She came to Polk County at a very young age and had resided here since. She married Vern Lawrence on Aug. 18, 1929 and he preceded her in death on

Jan. 29, 1988. She became a member of Bethel Baptist Church at Bold Springs on Aug. 16, 1930. She enjoyed getting outdoors in the late afternoon to look at her flowers

and she loved children. In addition to her parents, a son, August Frank Lawrence;

five brothers; three sisters; three grand-children and one great-grandchild preceded

her in death. Survivors include four children, Pearlee Blackerby of Livingston, Jimmie Monroe and husband Herman of Houston, Bobby Lawrence of Livingston and Glen

Lawrence of Livingston; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-

great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ed Monroe, Spencer Monroe, Charlie Hodge,

Chris Brown, Caleb Heilander, Ted Keeling, Bill White, Doug Blackerby and Warren

Krieger. J.W. Blackerby served as honorary pallbearer.

Curtis. Mrs. Lawrence died Monday, October 24, in Memorial Medical Center, Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Wilson Lawrence. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Letha and Bert ‘Bubba’ Corzine of Cleburne,Denise and John Cain of Livingston and Therea and Brian Bailey of Marlin; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Lawrence of Livingston; grandsons, Sergeant William ‘Billy’ Lawrence USMC and wife, Krissy, of Yuma, Arizona and LCPL Curtis Bailey USMC of Camp Pendleton, California; granddaughter, Michelle Summers and husband, Chad, of Livingston; her special kitty, “Fur-Ball”; sisters, Bessie Brown and Zelda Crawford, both of Lufkin and Rose Marie Austin of Diboll; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Pallbearers were Doug Blackerby, Dudley Carlisle, Justin Carlisle, Lee Parrish, Bubba Thompson, Tommy Wilkins and Chad Summers. Honorary pallbearers were Luther Thompson, Doug Hand, Judge John Thompson, Corky Cochran and Danny Ellis.
