LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Geraldine Collins Lima, 73, of Onalaska were held Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lyndell Mitchell officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Lima died Thursday, Dec. 23, in Vencor Hospital, Houston. She was born Oct. 23, 1926 in Jasper, the daughter of Dovie and Barney Wiggins, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the only surviving member of this family, having lost four brothers and one sister at earlier ages.

She was reared in the Votaw/Saratoga area. On June 2, 1944 she married Wilbur C. Collins of Saratoga. They were married for 31 years, until his untimely death in 1975. In February 1980 she married Joseph Lima of Onalaska, who survives her. She was a full-time mother until her children began High School. Prior to that time, she was a room mother, PTO member and officer, Band Booster member and officer, Sunday school teacher, anything that involved young people. She later trained to become a legal secretary and worked in that

profession in both Hardin and Polk Counties. She was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church in Saratoga. She participated in the mentor program at Livingston Elementary School, which she considered one of her most rewarding endeavors. She had a special spot in her heart for children, and it showed. She was known as a wonderful, kind,

caring person who was a delight to all who knew her. Survivors include her husband Joseph Lima of Onalaska; daughter Cheryl Collins Thomas of Livingston; son, Gerald “Jinx” Collins and wife Tina of Oakhurst; grandson Kyle Thomas and wife Anne; son Brandon of Frisco,

Derek Thomas of Houston, and Bill Collins of Austin; nieces, Paula Wiggins Overstreet of Kountze, Derrill Wiggins Mitchell of Huntsville, Debbie Wiggins Dean of Baton Rouge; nephews, Wayne Wiggins of Orange; and longtime good friend Aline Harper of Kountze.

Pallbearers were her nephews, Tim Overstreet, Ron Mitchell, Bill Dean and Wayne Wiggins, and stepsons, Steven, David, Jody Don, and Danny Lima. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Elliott of Livingston and Pete DeGeorge of Bold Springs.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Jason Keith Lowe, 23, of Livingston were held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, from the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, with the Rev. Lee Poe officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. He died Tuesday,


Dec. 9, in Livingston. He was born April 30, 1980 in Houston, the son of Ronney and Kathy

Wilkinson Lowe, and was a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University. He married Julie Wiggins Lowe on July 20, 2002 at the First Baptist Church in Livingston. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Octavia Lowe, and uncle, Harold Buddy Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Lowe of Livingston; parents, Ronney and Kathy Lowe of Livingston; sister and brother-in-law, Bria and David Morris of Livingston; grandparents, Dee and Velma Wilkinson of Livingston; aunt, Cindy Wilkinson of Livingston; aunt and uncle, Linda and Mike Jones of Livingston; uncle and aunt, Roy and Marlene Wilkinson of Rusk; cousins, Brian and Craig Jones of Livingston and Kelly Wilkinson of Rusk; uncle


and aunt, Amon and Jimmie Ware of Houston; aunt, Lillie Baker of Nacona; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Janet Wiggins of Livingston; brother-in-law, Jared Wiggins of Livingston; grandparents-in-law, Frank and Nora McQueen of Livingston; uncle-in-law, Frankie McQueen of Livingston; life-long friend, John Shannon of Midlothian and numerous

other cousins and relatives. Pallbearers were John Shannon, Chad Hill, Jonathan Ogletree, Willie Mayes, Russell Thomas, Neil Thomas, Ryan Thomas and Shawn Perman.

Honorary pallbearers were Jared Wiggins, David Morris, Brian Jones, Craig Jones and Brad Edmonds. Memorials may be made to the Green and White A&M Scholarship, proceeds going to incoming A&M freshmen, c/o Dr. Ralph K. Jenke, 185 Ashton Bend, Livingston, TX 77351 or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Livingston.
Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Livingston – Funeral services for Joe Lucas, 72, of Onalaska will be held at 11 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 18, 1994, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Darnell

Melancon officiating, assisted by the Rev. Frank Hood. Interment will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Lucas died Feb. 14 in Houston. He was born Oct. 31, 1921 in

Linton, Ind., the son of Roscoe Lucas and Evelene Summers Lucas. On May 4, 1943 he married the former Mary Lou Haynes in Livingston. He was a member of Trinity Lodge No. 14 AF&AM, Shiners, Eastern Star, American Legion and Scottish Rite. Mr. Lucas was district deputy of the lodge and past worshipful master. He visited with the oldest Masonic lodge in each state and had visited all but seven before he had to cease the visits due to ill health. Mr. Lucas was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bold Springs. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Haynes Lucas of Onalaska; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bob Whitecotton of Indianapolis, Ind.; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Brenda Lucas of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Wilma Lee Smith of Indianapolis, Ind.; granddaughter, Lacy McGrew of Noblesville, Ind.; grand-son, Joey Lucas of Indianapolis, Ind.; great-grandson, Tyler Joseph McGrew and Evan Thomas McGrew, both of Noblesville, Ind.; great-grand-daughter, Michaela Christine Lucas of Indianapolis, Ind. and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jay Kennedy, Bud Haynes, Gerald Haynes, Don Smith, M. C. Morris, Jeff McGrew, Guy Haynes and John Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Trinity Lodge No. 14 AF&AM. Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
