LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Willie Eugene Morris, 51, of Livingston were held

Tuesday, August 16, 1983 from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Nelson

Burr officiating. Mr. Morris died Sunday in Lufkin Memorial Hospital. A native of

Huntsville, he was the son of Willie Perry and Mattie (Cothran) Morris. Mr. Morris was

reared and received his education in the Huntsville area. He was a veteran of the Korean

War. He was a coach for Farm and Little League Baseball. Mr. Morris was an employee

of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative for 21 years.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Coker Morris of Livingston; three daughters, Cheryl

Ann Roberts of New Caney, Donna Lynn Tanner of Tarkington Prairie and Darla Denise

Morris of Livingston; two sons, Perry Eugene Morris and Thomas Glenn Morris, both of

Livingston; two sisters, Robbie Lynn Wiggins of Bryan and Nettie Mae Laramore of

Dayton; two grandsons and two granddaughters. Interment was in Bold Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roy Reeves, Bill Holley, Larry Horn, Glenn Cryer, H. L. Steabal, Luther

Miller, F. L. Dubois, Dennis Zapaloe, K. R. Cager, Leon Bailey, Doug Ward, Ronald

Wiggins, Gordon Prince, Buck Johnson, George Brown and Doug Melton.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Shepherd, Hix Shepherd, John Shepherd,

Geral Babcock, E. L. Parrish, Billy Taylor and O. R. Rice.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Billie Jaunell Munson, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, in Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Munson died Monday, Jan. 10, in Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena. She was born Nov. 3, 1936 in Orange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; her parents, Nolan and Willie B. McGowen Watts and sister, Carolyn Watts Boyd. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Jo Simmons of Pasadena; son, and daughter-in-law, Billy and Diana Janssen-Munson of Pasadena; granddaughter, Stacey Simmons of Pasadena; grandson, Brian Janssen of Round Rock; sisters, Betty Anderson of Houston, Linda Weiner of Spicewood and Betty Weaver of

Lubbock and numerous other relatives.

Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Fred Jackson Murphy, 74 of Livingston were held

Oct. 20, 1983 from Cochran Funeral Chapel. Bro. Bobby Byers officiated, assisted by Bro.

C. L. Moore. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Murphy died Oct. 18 at his residence. He was born Sept. 2, 1909 in Oakhurst, the son of the late Ed Adkinson and Dela (Adams) Murphy. He was reared and received his education in the Oakhurst area. He

married the former Lillian Lawrence on Oct. 9, 1953 in Leggett. He retired in 1968 from the Texas Highway Department. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Murphy of Livingston; son, James Carlton Murphy of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Edna Pauline Simon of Houston; three step-sons, Perry W. Jordan of Livingston, Elbert E. Jordan of Lufkin and Dale Byars of Lufkin; three step-daughters, Vivian Henson of Nacogdoches, Patsy Bruce of Wells and Nellie Anderson of Muskogee, Okla.; two sisters, Mamie Davis of Houston and Nellie Murphy of

Leggett; 27 grandchildren and 19 great grand children. Pallbearers were Jed Henson, Roy Henson, David Pierce, Frank Black, Roy Pierce, Lester Walding, Terry Crickshank and Elton Jordan. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for George Darby Neal Jr., 52, of Livingston were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1990 from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Skaar and the Rev. Lynn Sasser officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Neal died Feb. 28 in Polk County Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1938 in Houston, the son of George Darby Neal Sr. and Doris Brownlee Neal. He graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston and attended Baylor University and the University of Houston. On July 1, 1975 in Huntsville, he married the former Trudie Harris. While attending the University of Houston he worked fro the City of Houston in its water, tax and real estate

departments. Mr. Neal was a former administrator for the Trinity River Authority of Texas and was involved in the Lake Livingston project. He was a former construction superintendent for Cude, Inc., a pipeline and oilfield contractor, a former administrator for Champion International Corp., a former director of the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, a former director of the Texas Forestry Association, a member and secretary of the Polk County Appraisal Review Board, a member of “Outstanding Young Men of America,” and a former member of the Walker County Junior Chamber of Commerce. He attended Central Baptist Church where he was a member of Adult II Couples Sunday School Class. Mr. Neal was a real estate broker, owning CPI Properties. Survivors include his wife, Trudie {Harris} Neal of Livingston; mother, Doris B. Neal of Houston; two sons, Brad Neal of Richardson and Paul Neal of Irving; daughter, Terry Galloway of Livingston; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Dee and Ray Holtzapple of Houston; brother, James B. Neal of Houston; two grandsons, Scott and Stan Galloway of Livingston. Pallbearers were Leon Levins, Clarke Evans, Bill Reeves, Bob Willis, Jim Miller, Herbie Middleton, Jack Sprott and Bennie Cude. Honorary pall-bearers were members of the Adult II Couples Sunday School Class of Central
