Louie William Weeks


Obituary published in the Polk County Enterprise - April 30, 1970 Edition

Mr. Louie William Weeks, at 72, passed away on April 25, 1970, his services were held

at the Chapel of the Pace Funeral Home on Monday, April 27th at 2 p.m. with the Rev.

Kenneth Bradberry officiating assisted by Rev. C. L. Moore and Rev. Clute. Interment

followed in the Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Weeks was born the son of Dr. Perry and

Willie Squires Weeks on March 6, 1888. A native of Angelina County, he was born near

Lufkin and attended the Lufkin Schools. On October 17, 1919 he was married to Travie

Andress. To this union were born 3 children, 2 survive. Mr. Weeks made his home in

Baytown for the past 40 years, where he was engaged in Barber work. He was a member

of the Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Travie Weeks of Baytown, two daughters; Mrs. Alice Romero, of Baytown, Mrs. Elaine Matthews, of Houston, two brothers; B. C. Weeks of Baytown, Coleman Weeks of Port Arthur, two sisters; Mrs. Pearl Hooks, Livingston and Mrs. Jewel McCauley of Pasadena, six grand-children and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Gary Matthews, Edward Chapman, Sam Gordon Jr.,

Nathan W. Matthews, Ronnie L. Combs and Denis Koon. Arrangements were under the direction of the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

LIVINGSTON – Travie Weeks, 88, of Baytown died May 1, 1990 in Baytown. She was born Jan. 11, 1902. Mrs. Weeks lived 67 years in Baytown and was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church of Baytown. She was a member of the Baptist WMU’s. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Weeks Matthews of Jacinto City; brother, H. B. McKinnon of Livingston; two sisters, Mable Roark and Attie Mae Galloway of Baytown; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie William Weeks; son, Louie Perry Weeks; and daughter Alice Weeks Navarre.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 1990 from the Navarre-Lee Funeral Chapel in Baytown, with the Rev. Charles Kyle officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston. Navarre-Lee Funeral Home, Baytown, is in charge of arrangement.

LIVINGSTON – Graveside services for Scharla Wells, 46, were held Tuesday, Jan 11, 2005, in Bold Springs Cemetery near Livingston, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Mrs. Wells died Friday, Jan. 7, at her residence in Baytown. She was born Jan. 17, 1958 in Baytown, the daughter of Bill and Jo Ann Hunt Jones. She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, Odell Wells of Baytown; mother, Jo Ann Bailey of Baytown; daughter, Stacy Bergeron of Baytown, sons; Odell Wells Jr. and Justin Ray Wells, both of Baytown; brothers, Boyd Jones of Warren, Wyo. and Reginald Bailey of Baytown, sisters;

Missy Ware of Warren, Wyo., Ruby Jones of Baytown and Becky Jones of Kennefick; granddaughthers, Jessica Bergeron, Shannon Bergeron, K. K. Bergeron and Cassandra Wells, all of Baytown and grandsons, Zeth Ryan, Christopher Wells, and Tyler Holloway, all of Baytown. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
