LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Myrtle Josephine Hudgins, 81, were held Friday from the Chapel of Pace Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating, assisted by Rev. Bobby Meyers. Interment followed in the Bold Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marshall Phillips, James Earl Phillips, Bud Phillips, Lonnie Hudgins, and Albert Hudgins.
A native of Rusk County, she was born the daughter of Thomas and Emmer
Helpenstill Phillips in Rusk. She was reared in that county and attended the then available public schools. On September 18, 1918 she was married to Marshall Hudgins in Rusk County. He preceded her death in 1974. To this union were born three children, none
survive. They moved to Polk County in 1920 where Mr. Hudgins was engaged
in carpenter work. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include one brother, John M. Phillips of Livingston, one sister, Elizabeth Glasscock of Canton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

20 Jul 1911 – News reached here Tuesday of the death of Aunt Sue Hunt at Dallas,
where she had been for some time trying to recuperate in health…. She was 71 years
old at the time of her death, and had been a resident of Polk County since 1858. She
leaves a brother, Judge A. T. Watts of Beaumont, and other relatives to mourn her
death. The remains were shipped here and carried to Bold Springs today for burial.

Livingston – Funeral services for O’Neal A. James, 81, of Onalaska were held Tuesday, July 4, from Onalaska Church of Christ, with Windle Kee officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. James died Sunday, July 3, in Polk County Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Tuscumbia, Ala. Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Jimmie James of Onalaska; son and daughter-in-law, Charles O. and Naomi James of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra E. and Jack R. Carroll of Kemporer; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cochran Funeral Home was

Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Joshua died Dec. 19 in LaGrange, Ga. He was born July 29, 1982 in Stewart, Fla., the son of Vernon and Earlene
Reddicks Jasper. Survivors include his parents, Vernon and Earlene Jasper of Livingston; one brother, Jonah Jasper of Livingston; and grandparents, M. C. and Helen Morris of Livingston and John and Helga Reddicks of New Waverly.

LIVINGSTON – Graveside services for Donna Lynn Jomaa, 43, of Houston were held
Tuesday, July 28, 1992, from Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Jomaa died July 24 in Midway Park Hospital in Lancaster, Texas. She was born Dec. 28, 1948 in Dallas, the daughter of James Duncan and Billie Rainwater Duncan. On Nov. 14, 1975 she married Abdul Jomaa in Houston. Mrs. Jomaa owned and operated Straw Hat Productions in Livingston and was vice president of Excess Electrical Co. Inc. of Houston. Survivors include her husband, Abdul Jomaa of Houston; daughter, Andrea Jomaa of Oak Harbor, Wash.; parents, James and Billie Duncan of Livingston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Michael Yarborough of Livingston and Deborah and Patrick Fisher of Bowie, Md.; grand-father, Earl Rainwater of Lewisville; brother-in-law, Abdul N. LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for E.E. “Bert” Jordan, 73, were held Wednesday,
Feb. 22, 2006,in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard. Mr. Jordan died Sunday, Feb. 19, in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston. He was born June 23, 1932 in Livingston, the son of Sam and Lillian Lawrence Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Fred Murphy; sons, Elton Jordan and Steve Howard and grandson, Patrick Baumel. Mr. Jordan served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean conflict.
