Obituary published in the Polk County Enterprise - July 5, 1987 Edition

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Norman Daniel McLeod, 75, of Livingston were held Thursday, July 2, 1987 from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Don Wilkey and the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery.

Mr. McLeod died June 30 at his residence. He was born April 28, 1912 in Leggett, the son of John D. McLeod and Minnie Pruett. He attended school in Leggett and Onalaska. On

June 9, 1934 he married the former Banie Chessher in Onalaska. Mr. McLeod was a member of the First Baptist Church in Onalaska. Survivors include his wife, Banie McLeod of Livingston; sons, Darwin McLeod, John McLeod and Anthony McLeod, all of Houston; sister, Helen Stanford of Los Alamos N. M.; grandsons, John McLeod, Clinton McLeod , Brice McLeod and Dean Bostick, all of Houston, Sean McLeod of Virginia and Tony Bostick of Atlanta, Ga.; and granddaughters, Carey McLeod and Meredith McLeod; both of Houston, and Penny Bostick of Austin. Pallbearers were Larry Chessher, Lester Chessher, Paul Chessher, Kevin Chessher, Ronnie Chessher and Ferral Chessher. Honorary pallbearers

were Duncan Stanford, Jessie L. Stanford, Walter Dahl, Estelle Sheffield,

Eugene Wright, Cone Beatty, Riley Weatherly and Jake Bumstead.

Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON - Graveside services for Dennis Lee McNeese, age54, were held Friday, February 1, 2008 at 3:00 P.M under the direction of Pace Funeral Home.  Mr.  McNeese passed away at his residence in Houston, January 26, 2007. Mr. McNeese was a Security Guard for Allied Barton. He was born July 29, 1953 in Virginia to Carl and Charlene Delano McNeese, whom precede him in death.  His survivors are his brother Michael

Crim and spouse Debra, his sister Patricia Brown. Pallbearers were Michael Crim, Sr., William Brown, Jesse Crim, Michael Crim, Jr., Larry Brown, Gerald Hudson and Honorary

Pallbearer, Robert Vollert.

Livingston – Funeral services for Lolar Maude McPike, 78, of Livingston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 1995, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. McPike died Feb. 24 in Galaxy Manor Nursing Home in Cleveland. She was born Nov. 15, 1916 in the Elwood community, the daughter of William Fletcher Pierce and Roxie Ray Pierce. On June 18, 1930 she married Oliver Carl McPike, who preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1981. Mrs. McPike was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her daughters, Helen Loftin of Livingston, Mary Ann Sullivan of Cleveland, Mary Jane Martin of Livingston and Neda Boaen Tucker of Port Bolivar; sons, L. D. McPike of Livingston, Oliver Carl McPike Jr. of Caldwell, Billy McPike of Livingston and Charles Lee Wells of Marble

Falls; brother, Chester Pierce of Livingston; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grand-children; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Danny McPike, Robert Boaen, David Boaen, Scottie Boaen, Danny Sullivan, Carl Sullivan, Kenneth Sullivan, Shannon Sullivan, John Riley, Tom Riley and Joseph McPike.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Oliver Carl McPike Sr., 72, of Livingston were held at 4 p.m. Aug. 11 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. C. L. Moore, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church, and the Rev. Ron Ramey, pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church, officiated. Mr. McPike died Aug. 9 in Livingston Memorial Hospital. He was born May 8, 1909 in the Elwood Community of Polk County and was married to Lolar Maude Pierce on June 18, 1929. Mr. McPike began his career as a maintainer operator for the City of Livingston during the Works Project Administration era. He retired from the post after 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Lolar Maude McPike of Livingston; four daughters, Helen Odessa Loftin, Mary Jane Riley and Neda Fay Boaer, all of Livingston, and Mary Ann Sullivan of Cleveland; four sons, Leo Daniel McPike, Billy Gene McPike and Charles Lee Wells of Livingston, and Oliver McPike Jr. of Cleveland; his mother Sarah Belinda Burch of Livingston; five brothers, Henry Burch, Richard Burch, Floyd Burch, and Rufus McPike all of Livingston and Jesse Burch of Moscow; two sisters, Claude McBride of Livingston and Addie Moore of Hatfield, Ark.; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were Kenneth Yates, Roy McPike, Truman Barker, Bruce McBride, Robert

Pierce, Billy Ray Pierce and Clay Wallace Lawrence.
