LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Raymond Payne, 69, of Livingston were held Sunday, Sept. 16, 1984 from the Bold Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. C. L. Moore and the Rev. John Carter Watts officiated. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Payne died Sept. 14 in Tyler County Hospital. He was born in Houston County on July 25, 1915, the son of Ben and Ella Baker Payne. He spent his early childhood in Dayton, moving to Bold Springs at the age of 13. He married the former Ida Earleen Watts in Livingston on June 14, 1941. He was a member of Winnie Street Baptist Church. Mr. Payne was employed by Leggett Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1978. Survivors include his wife, Earleen Payne of Livingston; one daughter, Alice Nell Galloway of Livingston; three sons, Donald Ray Payne and Raymond Earl Payne, both of Livingston and Rodney Lynn Payne of Moscow; six grandsons, Donald Ray Payne Jr. of Port Moller, Alaska, Michael Brandon Payne of Livingston, Justin Daniel Payne of Moscow, Jonathon Lance Payne of Moscow, Clinton Russell Payne of Bryan and Jeffrey Paul Galloway of Livingston; one grand daughter, Stacey Lynn Payne of Bryan; five brothers, William H. Payne of Moscow, O. A. Payne of Pollack, Ben Payne of New Caney, Herman Payne of Dayton and Barney Payne of Houston; three sisters, Fannie De John of Gallatin, Tenn., Lillian Parker of Livingston and Etha Cowan of Baytown. Pall-bearers were Sherman Payne, Gary Payne, Jerry Mack Payne, Edgar Ray Payne, Milton Cowan, David Parker and Bud Payne. Honorary Pallbearers were Tub Rogers, Lewis Burnett, N. C. LIVINGSTON – Raymond Earl “Red” Payne, 58, died on Friday, Oct. 22, 2004,
in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.,
Sunday, October 25, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Bro. Dickie Bodie and Bro. Frank
Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. He was born Oct. 6, 1946,
in Livingston, the son of Raymond and Ida Watts Payne. Mr. Payne was the owner of
Payne Feed Store in Leggett. He was preceded in death by his father and nephew, Ray
Payne. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jackie Payne; Ida Earleen Watts Payne;
daughters and sons-in-law, Stacey and Ricky Ferguson of Coldspring and Jeannie and
Jerry Palmer of Birmingham, AL; sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Hollie Payne
of Carrolton, Floyd and Teena Baker of Houston and Robin and Donna Baker of

Mr. Payne died Thursday Sept. 25, in Lufkin. He was born Feb. 27, 1907 in Groveton, the son of Ben and Ella Baker Payne. Mr. Payne had been employed as a welder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Payne; and one brother, William H. Payne Jr. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Sarina Payne, Dr. Charles and Ann Payne, Richard and Sue Payne, and Robert and Sherry Payne; daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Donald Platt, Beverly Shurmann, and Debbie and Curtis Davis; sisters, Etha Cowan and Lillian Parker; brother, Barney Payne; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Audrey Buller Pecha, 77, were held Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood and the Rev. David Roberts officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Pecha died Monday, Nov. 4, in Memorial Health System of East Texas in Lufkin. She was born Sept. 18, 1925 in Haskel, the daughter of G.W. and Myrtle Hutchins Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Jerry Pecha on June 10, 1976 in Arkansas.
