Horace Bond

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Horace Bond, 84, of Livingston were held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1989 from the First Baptist Church in Livingston, with the Rev. Orval Barger and the Rev. Dewey Parrish officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery in Bold Springs. Mr. Bond was born July 23, 1905 in Angelina County near Lufkin to John Thomas Bond and Rebecca Katherine Alexander Bond. At the early age of 3, Mr. Bond and his family moved to Polk County and settled in the Oakdale community. Mr. Bond was reared and attended school in Oakdale. On May 25, 1928 he married the former Troy Emma Watts in Livingston. To this marriage four children were born, all of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Bond made Polk County their home all of their married lives. Mr. Bond was employed by the State Highway Department and worked on Polk County highways for some 25 years, until his retirement in 1970. He was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Bond served his church as a Sunday school teacher and as a deacon for many years. Survivors include his wife, Troy Emma Bond of Livingston; three sons, Gene Thomas Bond of Carlisle, Pa., and Kenneth Bond and James Horace Bond, both of Livingston; one daughter, Frances Camp of Livingston; two sisters, May Buffalo of Pasadena, Texas and Mavis Thomas of Livingston; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers were Gene Keith Bond, Kenneth Paul Bond II, Jimmy Dewayne Bond, Robert Glenn Bond, Neal Nettles, Joe Morasch and Dennis Craw. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Services were held from the Chapel of Pace Funeral Home, Nov. 13 for William Thomas Bond, 82, who died Nov. 11. Rev. Mark Lewis officiated. Interment was

in Bold Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were A. J. McIntyre, John Walding, Kenneth Bond,

R. C. Holcomb, Dewey Brooks, S. A. King, Art Purvis and J. Erskine Jones. William Bond was born April 1, 1897, to John Thomas and Catherine Alexander Bond. A native of Polk County he was born near Seven Oaks. He received his schooling at Angelina County and Polk County schools. He was married November 8, 1936, to Dora (Nannie) McIntyre. To this union was born one child. Mr. Bond was involved in pipeline work most of his life. He was a member of Unity Masonic Lodge No. 162, Scottish Rite, Woodman of the World. He worked as a Red Cross Volunteer for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Livingston. Survivors include his wife, Dora Bond of Livingston; one daughter Tommy Nan Marsh of Houston; his son-in-law, Laban Marsh of Houston; his brother, Horace Bond of Livingston; two sisters, Mavis Thomas of Livingston and May Buffalo of Deer Park; two grandsons, Laban Marsh Jr. and Bradley Marsh, both of Houston;

and a number of other relatives and friends.

Joe Darrell Bonanno, 2, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
He was born August 4, 2006 in Humble, Texas to parents; Sean and Anna Sheridan. Grave side Service will be 10:30 a.m., Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Bold Springs Cemetery in Polk County. We love you baby and we miss you so much… we will never forget our little angel.
