“From Sensor Networks to the Cloud: an Introduction to Ubiquitous Multi-Scale Digital Eco-Systems”: what a strange title! “From Sensor Networks to the Cloud: an Introduction to Ubiquitous Multi-Scale Digital Eco-Systems”: what a strange title! “A Roadmap to Cloud-IoT”? “A Roadmap to IoT-Cloud”? The objective is not to compress into 1 course, 4 courses on sensor networks, Internet of Things, cloud computing, ubiquitous computing, and digital ecosystems! This course is based on two mottos - the future of IT is in the “network”
- the “network” is an ecosystem – collaboration is the future of the network
Objectives: - draw a panorama of emerging information and communication technologies
- analyze issues raised and opportunities offered by these technologies and their integration
- highlight open technological and research questions
1- A (Quick) Historical Panorama of Information Technologies 1- A (Quick) Historical Panorama of Information Technologies 2- Digital Ecosystems: A (Rather) New Vision of IT 3- An Introduction to Large Scale Computing 4- Towards the Internet of Things(?) 5- An Introduction to Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing 6- A Special Emphasis on Security and Privacy in Digital Ecosystems 7- Multi-Scale Computing - Cloud-IoT: the greatest challenge for this decade? Open Directions for Research and Innovation
