IAP Programme for Capacity Building of FASAS

  • Objective – to encourage FASAS members to work together in promoting science education and to enhance the contribution and impact of science academies and societies on science education at the national and regional levels



Activities undertaken so-far

  • Construction of FASAS homepage (www.akademisains.gov.my/FASAS/)

  • FASAS Council met annually since 2004 to 2006

  • Brainstormings on science education were held in 2004 & 2005

  • Workshop on Role of Science Academies in Science Promotion and Science Education was held in Sept. 2006 in Singapore

  • Workshop on FASAS Joint Projects was also held in Sept. 2006 in Singapore.

  • FASAS – AASA Joint Meeting was also held in Sept. 2006 in Singapore.
