Introduction –
The choice Based credit system (CBSE) Syllabus structure as prepared for the post Graduate in History by the U.G.C. shall be implemented from the Current Academic Session – 2015-16. The details structure is as below:-

Each 100 marks paper has 4 credits. Total 80 Marks Credits
In 1st and 3rd Semester there will be (20 Marks) – Internal Assessment Examination and
For 2 nd & 4th Semester (20 (Marks) – Home Assignment for each 100 Marks paper.
(Total 100 + 100 marks – Home Assignment)
The P.G. History Course shall comprise of four semesters. The Ist and IIndsemesters are consisting of 5 crore course papers. The third semester is consisted of 2 crore papers, Allied Course (A.E.) 1 Paper and 2 Crore Elective (C.E.) Papers. The fourth semester is consisted of 3 core couse papers and 2 core Elective papers (C.E.) Each paper of 100 marks each. Out of which 80 marks are earmarked for term end examination and 20 marks are par marked for Internal Assessment in 1st and 3rd semesters and Home Assignment in 2nd and 4thj semesters. In each semester there shall be 20 credit marks (5 x 4) total 80 Credit marks. The students shall read total 20 papers of 2000 marks and 80 credits.
Alternative questions shall be set from each unit. The students shall have to answer, questions from all the units.
There will be 4 units in each paper. The duration of the examination of each paper shall be three hours.
