c. AMENDMENTS TO CONDITIONS OF TED MASLEN SCHOLARSHIP TO ALIGN WITH NEW COURSES 2012 REF: F20114
As a scholarship for commencing students, the conditions for the Ted Maslen Scholarship needed to be amended to align them with New Courses 2012. This task was undertaken by the Academic Policy Services (Legislative) late last year. Changes made were:
-
Purpose – The purpose of the scholarship was changed to state that students must pursue an undergraduate degree course with a Science major taught by the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences;
-
Eligibility Requirements – this was changed to state that to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must be eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree course at the University.
At the same time, the conditions of this Scholarship were reformatted so that they conformed to the current template. The amendments to the scholarship were approved in November 2010 by the Vice-Dean who had delegated authority from Faculty Board for approval. A copy of the amended conditions is attached (Attachment B).
