2.3PROJECT BENEFITS

  • By preventing permeability of the water supply lines, preventing mixing from outside and construct a healthier network

  • Replacement of pipes having risky material like asbestos (Precautions for replacement of asbestos containing equipment are explained in further sections)

  • Preventing loss of high amounts of treated water

  • Meeting water demand of growing service population in a sustainable manner

  • Reducing excavation and repair works caused by network failures

  • Providing water service with equal rates to people by resolving operation problems in the network

  • Reducing water cost due to the increase in water quantity reaching to consumers

Noise pollution

Noise levels of excavation and working machines operation at construction cannot exceed the level stated in the "Regulation for Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise". (Impact noise Lcmax cannot exceed 100 dBC.) Construction activities will be performed between 07.00-19.00 hours. Since the construction will be executed in three separate stages, generation of collective noise will be relatively avoided. In case when the construction activities must continue at night, local population that will be affected will be informed at least one week before the activity date.
