Central Asia Regional Links Program - Phase 3 - Kyrgyz Republic: The development objective of the overall CARs program (Series of Projects) is to enhance transport connectivity while developing sustainable and efficient transport solutions.
In line with the overall Project Development Objective (PDO) of the CARs program, the development objective of the third phase of the proposed project is to: (a) rehabilitate priority road sections in Issyk-Kul Oblast (along the Bishkek-Balykchy-Tyup road) connecting to neighboring Kazakstan; (ii) improve road maintenance and road safety practices in Issyk-Kul Oblast; (iii) support trade facilitation activities between Issyk-Kul Oblast in Kyrgyzstan and Almaty Oblast in Kazakhstan to contribute to economic development of the project area.
