1991-92 Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan as UNESCO Fellow

Worked with late Prof. T. Hata for one year. The visit was supported by UNESCO and Govt of Japan. Worked on synthesis of chlorinated Nucleosides – useful synthons for developing antiviral compounds
1995-97 Chiba Institute of Technology, Chiba, Japan as Post-Doc Fellow

Worked with Prof. H. Takaku for 20 months. The visit was supported by Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, Government of Japan. Worked on Gene Expression using unusual 2’-5’oligonucleotides.


1998 France for attending the XIII Roundtable conference on

Nucleosides, Nucleotides and their Biological Importance at Montpellier, France held from Sept. 6- 10, 1998 and presented paper. Poster no. 282. The visit was supported by the Univ. of Allahabad and INSA, New Delhi.


2006 Switzerland for attending XVII Roundtable conference on Nucleosides,

Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids at Bern, Switzerland held from Sept 3-7, 2006 and presented two papers. Poster nos. 66 & 370.

The visit was supported by the Univ. of Allahabad and DST, New Delhi.
