Two SEI messages were intended to be included in the specification that were apparently inadvertently missed during the editing process. Specifically, these are the JCTVC-S0095 dependent RAP picture SEI message, and the JCTVC-S0148 / JCTVC-T0047 coded region completion SEI message (with a planned restriction about the layers not present SEI preceding the coded region completion SEI message). Add the specification of these SEI messages. Decision (Ed.): Agreed – fix.
No profile(s) are specified for the Screen Content Coding extension technology. Specify a 4:4:4 8 bit Screen Content Coding profile and a (nested) 4:2:0 8 bit Screen Content Coding profile. See notes on profile specifications in the next section (section 6.2).
Any mature errata corrections identified for the second edition of ISO/IEC 23008-2 should be considered for correction in the text of the amendment. This may include addressing CPB underflow for whole-picture decoding units. Include errata corrections as appropriate and identified in the second edition of ISO/IEC 23008-2 (when published). This essentially-editorial suggestion was consistent with our existing plans and is to be addressed by the editors.
Note that ISO/IEC 23001-8 is being modified to add the specification of additional colour primaries, transfer functions, and matrix coefficients. This includes some colour primaries that could be useful for HEVC but are not yet supported in HEVC – specifically, DCI P3 (the value 11), D65 P3 (the value 12), and P22 (the value 22). Add support for the additional colour-related enumeration codes, either by reference to ISO/IEC 23001-8 or direct specification within the text. Decision: Agreed.
In order to avoid confusion on the palette QP related new syntax elements coding, SCM 4 software and text should be aligned for 7.3.8.8 Palette syntax versus 7.3.8.11 Transform unit syntax. Decision (Ed.): Agreed.
ACT QP offset was adopted in the last meeting. PDAM text contains text integration errors. Text should be modified to be aligned with SCM 4 software and JCTVC-T0140 in 8.6.1 and 8.6.2. Decision (Ed.): Agreed.
